A model hospital
The St. John of Malta Hospital, which the company built in Cameroon in 1998, has 120 beds. It is open to the public and is now managed by the Order of Malta. The facility includes four departments (general medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and surgery), four operating rooms and advanced equipment. It is a referral hospital in Cameroon.
A medical team comprising four doctors, a pharmacist and 80 nurses serve the region’s 140,000 inhabitants. The Compagnie Fruitière finances the majority of its operating budget.
